Kohima, June 30: Nagaland on Tuesday held a one-day orientation programme to strengthen the implementation and monitoring of projects under the 15th Finance Commission (XV FC) Health Grants, with a focus on improving healthcare infrastructure and services across the state.
The programme, organised at De Oriental Grand in Kohima, brought together officials from the Health and Family Welfare Department, Urban Local Bodies and other implementing agencies to improve coordination and ensure effective utilisation of health grant funds.

Officials and resource persons outlined the objectives and operational guidelines of the scheme, besides explaining financial management procedures, reporting mechanisms and monitoring frameworks under the health grants programme.
Participants were also sensitised on the timely execution of approved projects, maintenance of health facilities and the need for transparency and accountability in the utilisation of funds.
Interactive technical sessions provided a platform for officials to discuss implementation challenges, seek clarifications on operational issues and share best practices to improve project execution at the district and local levels.
The orientation concluded with participating departments and agencies reaffirming their commitment to the efficient implementation of the 15th Finance Commission Health Grants to strengthen public health infrastructure and enhance healthcare delivery across Nagaland.
