Natasha Deb of Shillong bags Reliance Foundation scholarship

Shillong, May 27: Natasha Deb, a student from Meghalaya, has bagged the prestigious scholarship of the Reliance Foundation on May 25, 2023. Natasha is a student at St. Anthony’s College, Shillong, who has exhibited exceptional talent and dedication throughout her academic journey.

The Reliance Foundation is a philanthropic arm of Reliance Industries which has recently awarded 5,000 undergraduate scholarships to deserving students for the 2022-23 cycle. The Reliance Foundation Undergraduate Scholarships, given on a merit-cum-means basis, aim to support students from various streams of study in pursuing their higher education goals.

This year’s selected scholars came from diverse academic backgrounds, including Engineering/Technology, Science, Medicine, Commerce, Arts, Business/Management, Computer Applications, Law, Education, Hospitality, Architecture, and other professional degrees. The scholarship program strives to recognize talent and provide financial assistance to students pursuing different fields of study.

In December of the previous year, the foundation announced its plan to grant 50,000 scholarships over the next decade. By supporting talented individuals, the foundation aims to contribute to India’s progress by nurturing the country’s future leaders and professionals.

Since 1996, the Reliance Foundation has awarded the Dhirubhai Ambani Scholarships, which are given on a merit-cum-means basis. To date, nearly 13,000 undergraduate scholars have received these scholarships, and among them, 2,720 scholars were individuals with disabilities.

Natasha’s success is a testament to the transformative power of education and the opportunities provided by Reliance Foundation’s scholarships. Through its various programs, the foundation aims to create sustainable and meaningful impact in communities across India.
