The Hynniewtrep Youth Council (HYC) on Saturday congratulated Meghalaya police’s Anti‑Narcotics Task Force (ANTF) for seizing illegal drugs worth more than Rs 51 crore, but urged investigators to go after syndicate leaders rather than only carriers.
In a significant breakthrough, the state police have arrested two drug suppliers from Manipur along with heroin worth Rs 2.5 crore at 8th Mile in West Jaintia Hills district on Sunday.
