Power Minister Abu Taher Mondal said that the movement of vehicles through the Umiam bridge will be fully stop on the day it is lifted to replace the bearing.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, Superintendent of Police (City) Vivek Syiem said following the repairing work of the Umiam bridge, which is being carried out round the clock, vehicles are being allowed from both sides (one way) in phases.
