Guwahati, Feb 3: A female tiger cub was found dead at Tazeng anti-poaching camp in Kaziranga National Park on Tuesday.
The cub was about four months old. A regular patrolling team has spotted the tiger carcass.
According to forest officials, Senior officers, veterinarians, NGO, NTCA, media and staff visited the place of the occurrence.
After post mortem and sample collection for further investigation, the carcass was completely burnt.
Forest officials said general observation and post mortem reveals multiple puncture marks on the neck and nearby area, broken ribs, etc.
The official believed that the tiger cub might have died due to an attack by another tiger.
