Two held in Rajabala for extortion and threatening a fair price shop dealer

Tura, July 16: Two members of the Anti-Corruption Foundation of India (ACFI) a plain belt-based organisation, were arrested on Tuesday night in Rajabala for allegedly extorting, threatening and attempting to assault a Fair Price Shop (FPS) dealer.

The accused have been identified as Billal Sk, son of Abed Ali, and Abdul Rup Choudhury, son of Amzad Ali. Both are residents of Haripur under Rajabala Police Station jurisdiction.

According to police sources, the arrests were made following an FIR filed by the affected dealer.

Authorities also revealed that both individuals, along with others, had previously been arrested in a similar case and were currently out on bail.
