Tura, Sept 13: A 4-year-old boy Bede lanko D. Sangma from Tura in West Garo Hills, has made his community proud by becoming an official “IBR Achiever” in the India Book of Records.

He achieved this remarkable title by identifying and showing the flags of 195 countries on an iPad in just 2 minutes and 42 seconds.

What makes this achievement even more special is that Bede is one of the youngest achievers from the Garo community to receive such recognition.

Bede’s proud parents, Rabuga M. Sangma and his wife Cherian Archie D. Sangma, shared that their son’s journey started very early. At just 2 years old, Bede was already learning through music, beginning with ABCD songs.

His parents introduced him to educational videos about continents, countries, and world maps, which he enjoyed watching. They also encouraged him to color country maps, which helped him remember and recognize each one easily.

According to his parents, Bede has a natural ability to learn quickly and is always eager to move on to new topics.

He often challenges them with what he has learned and surprises them with facts about countries and flags. His love for learning comes naturally, and his parents are happy to support him in whatever path he chooses in the future.

When asked about the kind of food Bede likes, his parents laughed and said that he is not very fond of eating. However, they make sure he gets nutritious meals, adding lots of nuts and seeds to his food to support his growth and brain development.

This young boy’s achievement is a proud moment not only for his family but also for the entire Garo Hills region.

Bede Ianko D. Sangma proves that with the right encouragement and curiosity, even the youngest minds can achieve great things.
