Must read

Shillong, July 23: In a move aimed at expanding its support base and strengthening organisational outreach in Meghalaya, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Tuesday announced a newly revamped team to lead its various frontal organisations in the state.

State BJP president Rikman G. Momin, while making the announcement, said the new appointments are part of the party’s strategy to reinforce its message of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas” — collective support and inclusive development — across all communities and regions in the state.

Momin expressed confidence that the newly restructured team will work to earn the trust of the people and accelerate the party’s growth in the coming years. He added that BJP Meghalaya aspires to emulate the development models of other BJP-ruled states, bringing similar progress to the state.

The newly appointed leaders of the party’s frontal wings include:

  • Arena Hynniewta as President of the Mahila Morcha
  • Mewaker Lyngdoh as President of the Yuva Morcha
  • Duruth Majaw as President of the Kisan Morcha
  • Himanta Timung as President of the ST Morcha
  • Gagann Jain as President of the Minority Morcha
  • Dayanand Kumar Singh as President of the OBC Morcha
  • Angshuman Das as President of the SC Morcha

The state unit believes that this new team will play a pivotal role in connecting with different communities, mobilising support and taking the party’s vision to the grassroots level.
