SHILLONG, FEB 13: Nitesh Kumar Mishra, Additional Secretary in-charge Department of Youth Affairs, Government of India on Friday chaired a review meeting on the implementation of National Service Scheme (NSS) in Meghalaya.
He also interacted with NSS functionaries of Meghalaya during the meeting held at North-Eastern Hill University (NEHU).
The session focused on reviewing the ongoing activities of the National Service Scheme (NSS) in Meghalaya and deliberating upon key operational and implementation aspects to further strengthen youth engagement in community development and nation-building initiatives.
The review discussed effective conduct of NSS Special Camps, improved documentation and reporting, optimal utilization of funds, and enhanced convergence with Government schemes.
Mishra appreciated the dedicated efforts of NSS units in Meghalaya and encouraged volunteers to continue serving society with commitment.
The Additional Secretary also released posters of MY Bharat Budget Quest 2026, aiming to promote budget literacy and civic awareness among youth.
The programme concluded with a renewed commitment to strengthen NSS activities and MY Bharat initiatives in Meghalaya.
