Child line and police rescued  eleven girls in Tripura

Agartala, Feb 3: Today childline and East Agartala police recovered eleven girls from Chandrapur Inter State Bus terminal (ISBT). Among the eleven girls, nine are minors and two are adults.

The girls have been brought from Reang refugee camp of Kanchanpur. It has alleged that the girls have been brought for housework. A man of that Reang camp brought them, after assuring their parents to give them jobs in Agartala city.

Sangeeta Barui a child line worker told that some people of ISBT detained that man with eleven girls. The people who detained them suspected that the man has involved in trafficking and brought these girls for that reason.

Sangeeta Barui told the local people to call the police and childline.

Later it has come to know that the man will deliver those girls to different households for maidservant.

Childline member Sangeeta Barui told they called to the parents and they hand over girls to the social welfare department.

It has come to know that the economic condition in Reang camps are not good, so the families send their children for work.
