Imphal, July 24: Meghalaya Chief Minister and National People’s Party (NPP) president Conrad K. Sangma on Friday met Manipur Chief Minister Khemchand Yumnam Singh, with the two leaders reaffirming their shared commitment to sustainable development and inclusive growth.

Sangma was accompanied by NPP Manipur state president Dr. Lorho S. Pfoze, Minister Kh. Loken Singh, and NPP MLAs during the courtesy visit to the Chief Minister’s official bungalow.

Describing the meeting as cordial, Chief Minister Khemchand Yumnam Singh said he extended a warm welcome to the visiting delegation, with the leaders exchanging compliments and discussing issues concerning the state.

During the meeting, the NPP delegation submitted a memorandum outlining the party’s aspirations and priorities. Singh said the proposals would receive his “prompt attention and consideration.”

“I am confident that we will continue to honour our shared values and common vision for sustainable development and inclusive growth,” the Manipur Chief Minister said after the meeting.

The interaction comes ahead of the NPP’s annual convention in Manipur and is seen as a significant political engagement between the party’s national leadership and the state government, with a focus on strengthening cooperation on developmental priorities.
