Shillong, Nov 30: The sister of a Hynniewtrep National Youth Front (HNYF) leader has filed an FIR against three persons alleging that she was physically assaulted by them when she was trying to protect her brother, Marcus Marten.

Addressing a press conference on Monday, Elizabeth Marten said that her brother who is the president of Ri Bhoi Auto Association questioned certain persons for tying black flags in auto-rickshaws. The concerned persons who tied the black flags were members of Hynniewtrep Youth Council (HYC).

She alleged that her brother was assaulted by the members of the organization. On seeing that her brother in trouble, she tried to separate them. In the melee, she alleged that she was assaulted.

“I went to help my brother but they also physically assaulted me and in the process, my clothes were also torn”, Elizabeth said in the press conference.

In the press conference, she claimed that Hercules Suting, Jason Nongrum and Mission Tron as the persons who assaulted them.
