Tura, Aug 14: Te.gite Mahari and Manda Mahari played out a fierce semi-final on Monday at the iconic PA Sangma Stadium in Dakopgre, Tura in the Inter-Mahari Football Tournament. Although, Te.gite Mahari emerged as victorious at the end of the play with a decisive 1-0 win, the match was worthy of its hype.

From the very kick-off, both teams displayed intense determination, launching attacks from all sides of the field. As the first half progressed, the spotlight fell on William T. Sangma, donning jersey number 18, who skilfully netted the sole goal of the match for Te.gite Mahari, ensuring a berth for his team in the final.

Following the triumphant victory, Sengwat T. Sangma, a key player in the Te.gite Mahari team, expressed his elation and confidence for the upcoming finale. He shared, “We’ve held the champion title before, so I have strong faith in our team’s capabilities for the finals.”

The second semi-final is scheduled to take place on August 16 at the PA Sangma Stadium. The pinnacle of the event, the final, will take place on August 19. The finale is set to be graced by the presence of Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma.
