Shillong, Jan 29: Meghalaya government has decided to postpone the Meghalaya Spice Festival scheduled to be held from January 30 to February 1, 2026, at the Jio World Drive, Mumbai in view of the sudden demise of Ajit Pawar, Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra.
This decision has been taken as a mark of respect and in keeping with the state mourning period declared following the tragedy.
The Government of Meghalaya has also extended its deepest condolences to the bereaved families.
Revised dates and further details regarding the Meghalaya Spice Festival will be announced in due course.
