Jowai, Sept 15: In a tragic incident on Monday, a mother was found hanging while two of her daughters were found dead in bed at the Green Colony of Top Cement Limited, Thangskai Village of East Jaiñtia Hills.

The deceased mother was identified as Rippa Das (24); while her two daughters Arpita Das (3) and Punchami Das (8) were found dead on the bed. All three are from Baratali, Kalain, PS: Katigorah, Dist. Cachar Assam.

It was learnt that Rippa’s husband, Apon Dad (35) had come home for lunch and left at 2:00 pm. otherAt around 5:50 pm while he returning home found the door was locked from inside and along with the neighbours took out the screw of the CGI Sheet attached to the door and found the two motionless bodies of the children on the bed while Rippa was found hanging.

The incident was immediately informed to the security guards of the plant who in return informed the police.

The matter is under investigation.
