Shillong, July 1: The Meghalaya government has announced that the mid-term break for schools across the state begins today, July 1, for institutions that completed their mid-term examinations by June 30.
According to a notification issued by the Education Department on June 30, the break will be observed from July 1, while regular classes will resume on July 6.

The notification, issued in continuation of the department’s earlier school calendar notification dated December 10, 2025, applies only to schools that have concluded their mid-term examinations by the stipulated deadline.
The Education Department has directed all District School Education Officers to disseminate the notification and ensure compliance with the school calendar.
