Shillong, May 24: North Shillong MLA Adelbert Nongrum has been shifted to Christian Medical College (CMC), Vellore for medical treatment following a serious illness.

Sources said Nongrum had been unwell for nearly a month and was undergoing treatment at Dr. H. Gordon Robert Hospital in Shillong.

However, as his condition worsened and showed little improvement, doctors advised that he be taken to CMC Vellore for better care.

Acting on this advice, his family arranged for his urgent transfer on Saturday morning, May 24, via Air Ambulance from Shillong Airport, Umroi, to CMC Vellore.
