Guwahati, Nov 1: The makers of Roi Roi Binale on Friday described the film as the “lifelong dream project” of the late singer and filmmaker Zubeen Garg, while appealing to the public and media to avoid circulating misleading reports about its box office performance.
In an official statement shared on Facebook, Team Roi Roi Binale said, “‘Roi Roi Binale’ was Zubeen Garg’s dream project. He carried within him a vision to elevate Assamese cinema to new heights on the global film map. The overwhelming love and presence of thousands of viewers in theatres yesterday carried that dream even further.”

The team confirmed that the film grossed Rs 2.52 crore on its opening day but stressed that “this is not the time to calculate figures.” They expressed concern over “false and misleading numbers” being shared on various media platforms, calling them “baseless and untrue.”
“We request everyone to refrain from daily box office analyses during this sensitive period. The production team will share the complete financial details one month after the film’s release,” the statement read.
Emphasizing that audience affection cannot be measured in numbers, the team added, “No amount can reflect the love you have shown for Roi Roi Binale.”
They also appealed to fans to stand united against piracy. “We hope viewers will continue to support Roi Roi Binale with the same heartfelt love while discouraging piracy and preventing others from engaging in it,” the statement concluded.
