Tura, July 6: A scooter skidded at ITI Junction in Tura on Saturday evening, leaving the rider with minor injuries.
The cause of the accident is yet to be confirmed, but it is suspected that the vehicle may have slipped due to rain and wet road conditions following 2–3 hours of light to heavy showers in the area.

The scooter, bearing registration number ML 07C-2274, was being ridden by Dibang R. Marak, a resident of Upper Balsrigitim, Williamnagar in East Garo Hills.
The rider was immediately taken to Tura Civil Hospital.
