Tura, July 6: A collision between an XUV 300 and a dumper truck occurred on Saturday night near Monggri Departmental Store at Hawakhana Junction in Tura. Fortunately, no injuries were reported in the incident.

According to information received by the Tura Traffic Branch at around 10:00 PM, the accident involved a black XUV 300 (registration number ML 14-8628) driven by Jowash M. Marak of Grenggandi, South West Garo Hills. The vehicle was heading from Tura Bazar towards Araimile.

It collided head-on with a loaded dumper truck (registration number ML 08 H 5139) driven by Sudhin Sangma of Boro Gokol, Bajengdoba, North Garo Hills, which was coming from the opposite direction.

The XUV sustained damages in the impact, but fortunately, neither of the drivers nor any occupants suffered any bodily injuries.

Further investigation is underway to determine the cause of the accident.
