Shillong, Aug 22: The Superintendent of Police (Traffic) East Khasi Hills District K Prasad has informed that stickers with allotted numbers will be issued to local taxi and auto rickshaw owners operating within the district’s jurisdiction.

The sticker issuance will commence from October 6 to December 5.

To obtain the sticker, owners or representatives must submit the following documents in original along with photocopies – registration certificate, permit, insurance certificate, fitness certificate, trading license (for non-tribal owners), professional tax, passenger tax, M.L.M.T.U certificate, pollution certificate and identification proof (EPIC/AADHAR or other ID proof).

After all documents are found to be valid, a sticker will be issued and it should be pasted on the left side of the front windshield of the taxi or auto rickshaw.
