Strip clothes or get shot: Meghalaya Veterinary Association condemn BSF personnel diktat

Shillong, Feb 12: The Meghalaya Veterinary Services Association (MVSA) Apex Body, in its Emergent Central Executive Committee meeting held today strongly condemned the high handedness of Rejender Kumar and his colleague, who are BSF personnel at Lakroh Shiv Mandir, Hawai Tilla, West Jaintia Hills District on the 11th February, 2024 around 12:05 PM on a member of the Association, Dr. Seiboklang Buam, AH & Veterinary Officer, Muktapur Veterinary Dispensary, Amlarem Sub-Division.

The Association has taken strong cognizance of the incident, the news of which has been widely circulated in the electronic and print media.

The MVSA also resolved to apprise the highest authority of the BSF, Meghalaya Frontier Headquarter on this unfortunate and uncalled incident, which has traumatized the concerned member of the Association.

The Association also demands that a written apology from the concerned BSF authorities be issued with an assurance that such kind of inhumane and humiliating acts do not recur in the future.

This was informed by the President and General Secretary, MVSA, Shillong.
