Tura, May 24: Aimed at fostering collaboration between academia and industry in a rapidly evolving business landscape, the Department of Management at North-Eastern Hill University (NEHU), Tura Campus, recently hosted ‘SYNERGOS’25’, an HR conclave and alumni gathering that brought together leading HR professionals, scholars, students, and alumni from across India.
The event was held under the theme “Building Future Managers through Innovation and Skilling”.
The conclave was inaugurated by Vibhor Aggarwal, Deputy Commissioner of West Garo Hills, who delivered the keynote address. The opening session featured addresses from Prof. J.U. Ahmed and corporate guests Narendra Sarawgi and Kalyanjit Hatibaruah. Dr. Abhigyan Bhattacharjee, Head of the Department of Management and Convenor of SYNERGOS’25, emphasized the importance of human-centric leadership and adaptive talent strategies.

SYNERGOS’25 included engaging panel discussions with experts from prominent organizations such as OIL, Delhivery, Technomedia, Varun Beverages Ltd, SBI, Meghalaya Livelihood Mission, HDFC Life, and Innvocept Global. Topics covered included workforce innovation, entrepreneurship, digital challenges in HR—especially AI and automation—emotional intelligence, employee wellness, and HR’s role in ESG compliance. Successful NEHU alumni also shared their insights, enriching the dialogue with real-world perspectives.
The event also hosted a memorable alumni reunion, marked by networking, nostalgic reflections, and a cultural evening celebrating Meghalaya’s rich heritage. A significant highlight was the formation of the Department of Management Alumni Association, NEHU Tura Campus, aimed at fostering enduring connections between alumni and the university.
SYNERGOS’25 concluded with a valedictory ceremony featuring cultural performances and the presentation of appreciation tokens to distinguished guests and graduates. The event was widely praised for its blend of academic excellence, industry expertise, and community engagement.
