Dengue cases have been rising in Nagaland with the state registering nearly 2,909 dengue cases since June this year. This is the highest number of cases in Nagaland in nearly two decades.

As Dengue cases surge in West Garo Hills and South West Garo Hills, health authorities have urged residents to take precautionary measures to safeguard against the disease.
To manage the situation, more than 50 seriously affected patients have been transferred to the main referral hospital AGMC and GBP hospital in Agartala since July 29.
According to reports, July to September is considered the peak season of JE but cases were reported from June as well, even as the health department did not make the vector-borne diseases menace public.
