Former Dadenggre legislator James Sangma has strongly criticized a section of media for disseminating what he calls ‘blatant misinformation’ regarding the National People’s Party (NPP) and his family's stance on the Gambegre bye-election.
The ruling National People’s Party (NPP) will soon decide on the candidate for the upcoming bye election to the Gambegre Assembly seat. As many as ten aspirants are eyeing for the party ticket.
Addressing the media, Saleng said, “I got elected for the Lok Sabha so before swearing in I think it is better to resign and vacate Gambegre Assembly seat.”
The Gambegre assembly seat is going to see a new face as its elected representative in the coming by-election after Saleng A Sangma tendered his resignation as an MLA of the state on June 10th in the light of his victory as the new Tura Lok Sabha MP.
