Cabinet minister and UDP legislator from Khliehriat Kyrmen Shylla on Friday informed that a mega meeting will take place in January, next year to seek to views and opinions of the people of East Jaintia Hills in regards to the government’s move to introduce railway line in the district.
The Meghalaya Assembly Committee on Women Empowerment visited West Jaintia Hills District on Tuesday (August 22) and convened a meeting with the relevant line departments to discuss various issues related to women in the district.
