A two-member Special Investigation Team (SIT) from Assam is set to leave for Singapore today to investigate the circumstances surrounding the death of iconic singer Zubeen Garg.
In a major development in the probe into the death of singer Zubeen Garg in Singapore, the Assam CID on Thursday arrested Garg’s long-time aide and bandmate Sekhar Jyoti Goswami, along with his co-singer Amritprava Mahanta, after several days of questioning, sources in SIT reveal.
The Special Investigation Team (SIT) of Assam has issued summons to entrepreneur Shyamkanu Mahanta and singer Zubeen Garg’s manager, Siddhartha Sarma, directing them to join the ongoing investigation within 10 days.
