Shillong, May 19: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) Shillong has issued a weather alert for parts of Meghalaya, forecasting thunderstorms, lightning, and moderate to heavy rainfall over the next 24 hours.
According to the bulletin released on May 19 at 12:30 PM, the inclement weather is expected to affect several districts, including East Garo Hills, East Khasi Hills, South Garo Hills, South West Garo Hills, South West Khasi Hills, and West Garo Hills.
The alert remains valid until 12:30 PM on May 20.
Residents in these areas are advised to take necessary precautions and stay updated with the latest weather advisories from the IMD.
