Tura, May 17: A special Trinity Workshop held at Don Bosco College, Tura on Saturday brought together nearly 300 participants, including students, parents, teachers, and music enthusiasts from across the region for a day of inspiration and learning.

Organized by the Tura Music Academy, the event shed light on the Trinity College London examinations in music, drama, and spoken English.
The programme began with a welcome address by Tengrang R. Sangma, Director of Tura Music Academy, who expressed his delight at the overwhelming turnout and emphasized the role of music education in shaping confident, creative individuals.

The workshop featured two distinguished speakers — Minette Duncan Marbaniang, Trinity College London Representative, and Givenstar Nongklaw, both respected musicians and educators. They led insightful sessions explaining the structure of Trinity exams, grading systems, performance techniques, and the critical role of stage presence and theoretical knowledge.

The audience was treated to live demonstrations and mock assessments, including impressive piano performances by young talents Alexier Cheangdo, Eariana M. Sangma, and Demisha R. Sangma, which drew enthusiastic applause.
Post-lunch sessions turned the spotlight on Trinity’s English Spoken and Drama courses. Participants engaged in interactive segments that showcased the power of speech, acting, and group storytelling to boost communication skills and self-expression.

Encouraging students to appear regularly for exams, the speakers underscored the value of theory classes and urged them to explore Trinity’s broader course offerings to build well-rounded artistic and professional futures.
