Agartala, June 11: Trinamool Congress general secretary and Lok Sabha MP Abhishek Banerjee has received a fresh legal notice from a court in Tripura.
The Khowai district court has directed Banerjee to appear in person on June 22 in connection with a complaint filed at Khowai police station following the 2021 West Bengal Assembly elections.
The notice was routed through a lower court in Alipore, Kolkata, which appointed a bailiff for the purpose.

On behalf of Banerjee, the summons was received by Trinamool Congress MLA and the party’s state spokesperson in West Bengal, Kunal Ghosh.
The case stems from a complaint lodged in Tripura in the aftermath of the fiercely contested 2021 West Bengal Assembly elections.
