Voices rise in protest of violence against Hindus in Bangladesh

Shillong, Oct 20: People from across the Indo-Bangla border have strongly condemned the spate of attacks on temples and Durga Puja pandals in Bangladesh. In this connection, Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) activists held a car rally in Shillong on Wednesday in protest against the recent spate of attacks on minority Hindus.As voices rise in protest against violence in Bangladesh, the protest rally was called by the VHP where members of several organisations, Bajrang Dal, women’s wing of RSS, joined.

Also, the VHP condemned the incidents of attacks on temples and Hindus in Bangladesh, saying that the Indian government should step in and save the community from the atrocities.

The organisation also slammed the Sheikh Hasina government, alleging that the dispensation is not just a “mute spectator”, but “is also hand-in-glove with the extremists”.

The rally started from Jhalupara and passed through Anjalee point, Keating road, Butcher lane before culminating back at Jhalupara.
