Tura, Jan 31: The CM’s Day & Night Cricket Tournament concluded on Sunday amidst a huge audience turnout at the Parade Ground in Tura.The final was played between Winmark and Square Feet, with Winmark wining the championship.Winmark had set a target of 202 runs but Square Feet were bundled up in 12 overs.
Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma gave away the trophies and the cash award to the winner and the runner-up teams.The winning team received Rs. 3 lakh while the runner up were handed Rs. 1 lakh.After the conclusion of the tournament, the CM tweeted: “What an exciting match and grand conclusion to the CM’s Day & Night Cricket Tournament. Congratulations to the winning team Winmark and the runners up team Square Feet for being tough contenders throughout the tournament.”

However, the highlight of the tournament was the exhibition cricket match between CM IX and MDC IX played on Sunday night, wherein the CM also donned his sporting gear and displayed his cricketing skills.
