‘You Always/ You Never’ short film screened in Dibrugarh

Dibrugarh, July 31: A short film ‘You Always/ You Never’ was screened in Natya Mandir in Dibrugarh on Sunday in front of a film lover crowd of Dibrugarh.

The film was selected in Lulea International Film Festival, Sweden, Lift Off Filmmaker Sessions, UK, Pune Short Film Festival, India, and Alibag Short Film Festival, India. The film will very soon be screened in the film festivals.

The short film ‘You Always/ You Never’ is written and directed by Saurav Roy, edited by Gourav Roy and produced by Saurav Roy, Gourav Roy and Ashima Roy. Ashim Sharma and Archana Bezbaruah have acted in the film. The music production of the film was done by Satyajit Chowdhury.

The short film was based on two individuals – Lakhikanta and Gitima, who quarrel every day.

“You Always/You Never” marks Roy’s directorial debut and has garnered recognition at international and national film festivals of repute, such as the Lulea International Film Festival in Sweden and the Pune Short Film Festival.

Moreover, it will be screened at India’s only Oscar-Qualifying festival, the Bengaluru International Short Film Festival in August.

Saurav Roy, a native of Dibrugarh, is now based in Mumbai, where he continues to work on his upcoming projects.

Following the success of ‘You Always/You Never’, he has already written and directed two other short films, including one in Hindi, “Auditions Open,” which is set to be released on a premium OTT platform very soon.
