Guwahati, March 31: In a tragic incident, a school student in Assam’s Karbi Anglong district died after consuming noodles on Friday. The deceased has been identified as Tanmay Bora Rongpi.

The incident has been reported from Howraghat in Karbi Anglong district.

According to sources, 12 people including students, teaching and non-teaching staff of Shankardev Vidya Niketan fell ill after consuming noodles for lunch in Howraghat town in Karbi Anglong district of Assam on Tuesday. The student allegedly died due to suspected food poisoning after consuming the noodle.

The deceased was one of the three people, who were shifted to Nagaon for better treatment.

Meanwhile, police have started an investigation into the matter.
