Tura, June 6: The Garo Students’ Union, Central Executive Committee (GSU CEC) marked World Environment Day with a tree plantation drive aimed at promoting environmental awareness and sustainability.
The initiative saw committee members divided into groups, visiting various locations to plant trees and engage with the community.

One group visited local schools, interacting with students and faculty to emphasize the importance of environmental protection through practical action.
The event was made possible thanks to the generous provision of saplings by Roberth Momin, Vice President of Garo Students’ Union (GSU CEC).

“Through this initiative, GSU CEC reaffirms its commitment to environmental conservation and encourages individuals and organizations to join hands in protecting and preserving our environment”, a release said.
