Guwahati, April 14: Iran warns Israel of a larger counterattack if it retaliates to Tehran’s recent drone and missile attack.

Armed forces chief of staff Major General Mohammad Bagheri stated that the response would be much larger than the previous military action. Iran also cautioned the US that supporting Israeli retaliation would lead to the targeting of American bases.

US President Joe Biden condemned Iran’s attack and announced a coordinated G7 diplomatic response. Iran claimed the action was self-defense in response to an Israeli attack on an Iranian consulate building in Damascus on April 1, resulting in casualties, including high-ranking members of Iran’s Revolutionary Guards.
