Williamnagar, May 12: MARAM Football Club of West Garo Hills, Tura has brought immense pride and glory to Tura and the entire Garo Hills region by securing a place in the Quarter Finals of the Meghalaya State League (MSL) 2026 after a thrilling 1-0 victory over Seng Samla Umdang Pyllun in the Pre-Quarter Final match played at Mawkyrwat on Monday.
The decisive moment came in the 68th minute when Tremachwal Ch. Marak netted the winning goal, sealing an important victory for MARAM FC and keeping the hopes of Garo Hills alive in the prestigious state-level tournament.

With this victory, MARAM FC has become the only team from Garo Hills to qualify for the Quarter Finals of the Meghalaya State League this season. The Quarter Finals will feature eight top teams from across Meghalaya, divided into two groups — Group A and Group B. MARAM FC has been placed in Group B and will play its first Quarter Final match on May 14, 2026.
Notably, this is only the third time a team from Garo Hills has reached this stage in the Meghalaya State League. Druma Sandruma FC was the first team to achieve the feat, followed by Chipakore FC. This year, Maram FC has etched its name in history as the latest team from the region to advance to the Quarter Finals of the prestigious tournament.
