Must read

Shillong , Oct 31: The Meghalaya High Court has directed that its interim order – which stayed the revocation of regularization of over 30 casual employees by the VPP-led executive committee in the Khasi Hills Autonomous District Council (KHADC) – shall continue.

“Interim order passed earlier shall continue until the next date,” the bench headed by Justice HS Thangkhiew said in its order passed on Thursday.

The bench was hearing petitions, numbering over 30, filed by aggrieved employees challenging the decision of the KHADC.

The matters have been listed for further proceedings on November 18.

According to the petitioners, the KHADC executive committee had revoked the regularization orders on May 30, 2025, without issuing notices or providing opportunities for hearings to the affected employees.
