Meghalaya witnesses active participation from elderly voters across the state

Shillong, April 19: Citizen over 85 years participated actively in the electoral process with over 10,180 voters, exercised their right in various polling booths across the State.

Senior citizens were facilitated with wheelchairs in the polling booths, election officers along with Agandwadi workers assisted the voters to cast their vote.

Across the state total electorate stands at 2,217,100. The active participation and representation from the senior citizen reflects the diverse demographics of Meghalaya’s voting population.

10,000 plus elderly voters in the state reaffirms inclusivity in democratic participation in the state.
