The Regional Meteorological Centre in Guwahati has released its weather forecast for the next five days for Assam and the adjoining northeastern states.
A notification issued by the Chief Secretary DP Wahlang on December 13 has stated that this was in pursuance with the decision of the Chief Minister’s level meeting on Assam-Meghalaya border issues held on September 30.

Also, the regional committee decided to submit a report to their respective State Governments by August this year. To facilitate this, an on-ground visit is scheduled to take place in the last week of June or July, in the presence of both Chief Ministers.
