The East Khasi Hills police have taken swift action in a case involving a 15-year-old girl who went missing from Umpling and was later found at her boyfriend's house.

Two people, including a BSF personnel, were injured after a suspected gas cylinder blast at a house in Umpling, Lumdiengmet, on Wednesday around 10 am.
From their possession, heroin – 1.13 gms, 417 empty vials, 39 unused syringes, 2 mobile phones and 1 Tata Intra pick up bearing No. ML 05 Z 9479, were seized.
