Guwahati, July 2: In two separate operations on Saturday, the Kamrup Police & STF seized over 1.2 kgs Heroin and apprehended three accused.
The team was led by Addl SP Kalyan to intercept an SUV at Palashbari and seized 700 grams Heroin hidden inside 50 soap boxes.
The STF also recovered 40 soap cases containing 500 gms Heroin from hidden chamber of another SUV.
Partha Sarathi Mahanta, DIG of STF while talking to the reporters said that, based on secret information the Kamrup district police on Saturday night launched an operation and recovered 700 grams of heroin from a vehicle and arrested three drug peddlers.
Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma complimented Assam Police for the good work.
