Shillong, Jan 29: The Deputy Chief Minister incharge PWD (Roads), Prestone Tynsong informed on Monday that work orders for package – 1, 2, and 4 of the Shillong-Dawki road have been issued and work is set to resume shortly.
Speaking to reporters, Tynsong informed that the Government of India (GoI), through the NHIDCL has already resumed work under the Package 1.
However, for Package 2 the final work order has been issued and the machinery has been brought in, which is expected to commence work very soon, Prestone added.
Regarding Package 4, while the final work order has been issued, he informed that some additional official documents are needed to be finalised between the company and the NHIDCL.
The Deputy CM thereby positively expressed that work under all three packages will resume very shortly.
